Overview
Thanks to the Atlantic Pro application, Sanitary professionals received a great tool to aid their work! Simple, powerful and interactive, it will help them better calcultae their quotes for clients radiator, towel dryer and water heater projects.
The Project has been previously developed with Unity3D. The client, after consulting our partner BEWIZYU, decided to focus on a more scalable Mobile dev Framework. We worked with them on the development phase of the project.
Why did the client come to us - Problem
The client’s main goal was to find the most efficient method to integrate Augmented Reality (AR) feature from the previous unity 3d application that had performance issues into the new application that would be built using a cross-platform mobile framework. This involved evaluating various approaches for embedding or bridging Unity's AR capabilities:such as AR Foundation and Vuforia,with Flutter’s mobile UI environment.
Key considerations included cross-platform compatibility, performance optimization, maintaining a seamless user experience, and ensuring that the AR features would function reliably across both Android and iOS platforms. Additionally, the team had to address potential technical constraints related to communication between Flutter and Unity modules, lifecycle management, and resource usage.
How did we solve the problem - Solution
After exploring different options for developing Augmented Reality (AR) on mobile platforms, we chose a hybrid solution. We combined the power and scalability of Unity3D (well-known for building immersive AR experiences) with the flexibility and speed of Flutter for mobile app development.
This approach allowed us to keep the advanced AR features from our previous app while delivering a smooth and modern user interface in the new version. The result is a seamless, cross-platform experience that brings together the best of both technologies.
